For 25 years, American Railroad Equipment (ARE) has been extending the legacy" of rail through its dismantling, recycling and marketing of locomotive equipment. ARE Energy Power Systems. As you're probably aware, a locomotive's power system generates electricity to power the traction motors and drive the wheels. ARE Energy has modified and transferred these systems to provide containerized on-site power generation for continuous, peaking and standby power.

These innovative, customized electric systems can provide 2.5 to 12 MW. All based on proven, dependable technology from the American railroad and electric power industries. And all offering continuous on-site power at an affordable price.

The electrical generator and control equipment is customized either to 50 or 60 hertz with proper voltage for each installation
